Our achievements

  • The College is identified as one of the Nodal Institute for training in Disaster Management by Ministry of Home Affairs.
  • The Institute is also recognized for Training in Chemical, Biological & Radiological Emergencies.
  • The Ministry of Environment & Forests has recognized and provided financial support for the conduct of Chemical Disaster Response Training.
  • The NCDC has been playing a prominent role in training Trainers of Paramilitary Forces in order to build capacities of NDRF Battalions.
  • Assisted Maharashtra State Education Department in training two Resource Teachers per district for Awareness generation on Disaster Management in Schools.
  • Imparted training to Search & Rescue Squad of 6 districts of Vidarbha (Maharashtra).
  • Conducted Emergency Search & Rescue Training for 400 NCC Pre-commission Training Officers at OTA, Kamptee.
  • Organised specialized Emergency Fire Hazard Training for Reserve Bank of India Officers.
  • 56,852 Trainers trained since inception that includes foreign nationals also.
  • Assisted local schools at Nagpur in conduct of Evacuation Exercises in case of fire and earthquakes.
  • Organized Disaster Management Programme for MBA Students of Institute of Management Studies, Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore, M.P.
  • Conducted Emergency Response Capacity Building Training for D.Ed Teachers of Shri Datta Meghe D.Ed College, Butibori, Nagpur.
  • The institute was invited to conduct a Short Term Training for 127 students from Schools and Colleges of West Bengla participanting in the National Integration, Youth Leadership and National Annual Training Camp conducted by Central Calcutta Science & Culture Organization for Youth at Kendriya Vidyalaya Ordnance Factory Ambajhari, Nagpur between 26th to 29th December 2012.
  • The NCDC conducted a 2 day workshop for 12 senior officers of various Ordance Factories in the country at the request of National Academy for Defence Production Ambajhari, Nagpur
  • A Team of officers including the Director participated in the Delhi Emergency Management Exercise between 29th November to 2nd Decemeber. The exercise was organised jointly by NDMA and Delhi Disaster Management Authority. The institute was invited to train 40 Exercise participants in Industrail & Chemical Emergency Response.
